Blinged and Blooming is what happens when garden inspiration meets maximalist impulse. The series is in-
spired by the chrysanthemums Shannon Zembriski’s fiancé lovingly grows for her each year — a gesture rooted

in care and tied to her favorite flower. These works transform that personal connection into something sen-
sory and bold: textured, glittered, and alive with high-contrast color.

They’re designed to feel like a sensory jolt — the way sour candy wakes up your mouth. Bright, punchy, a
little chaotic. But underneath that is something slower: the calm satisfaction of being in the garden, where
everything’s blooming and nothing feels rushed. That contrast sits at the heart of the work.
