BLINGED AND BLOOMING
2025
This series is dedicated to Jeff. The boy who grows the flowers they’re inspired by.
When I created this series it marked seven years together. The glitter, the color, the overload — it’s the visual version of being in love with someone who inspires you every single day. I wanted to capture that rush — the sensory high of love.
From the very beginning, he’s given me the kind of support that lets you grow without hesitation. I can spill paint on the floor or dump glitter on the couch, and he never blinks. His love has given me the freedom to be exactly who I am

Each piece centers on a clashing two-color palette, simple in structure but intentionally dissonant, chosen to vibrate against itself and create visual tension. The series revisits recurring themes in my practice — repetition, ornamentation, and the interplay of natural and synthetic materials but with renewed energy and experimentation. Through layering, color, and surface, each piece reflects a space where the shine isn’t just surface — it’s how the work speaks.

These works are designed to feel like a sensory jolt, the way sour candy wakes up your mouth. Bright, punchy, a little chaotic. But underneath that is something slower: the calm satisfaction of being in the garden, where everything’s blooming and nothing feels rushed. That contrast sits at the heart of the work.
